What I meant is that the principle by which you think AIs should give humans a safe environment after the singularity, also dictates that humans should give cows a safe environment today. Not leave it up to individual choice - meat-eating should be outlawed. Possibly with an exemption for seafood, worms, and other creatures without a limbic system.
